Conference venue
The conference will be held at:
a) Faculty of Economics and Sociology, University of Lodz

Conference sessions will take place in two neighbouring Faculty buildings:
- Building C – rooms C101 and C140,
- Building T – rooms T301 and T401.
Building C is located in the part of the Faculty complex accessible from 3/5 P.O.W. Street. Building T can also be approached from 41/43 Rewolucji 1905 r. Street.

Travelling to Łódź
By plane
Lodz Wladyslaw Reymont Airport is located at 35 Gen. Stanisława Maczka Street, approximately 6 kilometres from the city centre. Travelling from the airport to central Łódź and Łódź Fabryczna station usually takes around 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
City buses 65A and 65B stop directly in front of the passenger terminal. Current flight schedules and airport access information are available at:

Ryanair currently operates scheduled flights to/from: Alicante (Spain); Malaga (Spain); Milano-Bergamo (Italy); London-Stansted (Great Britain); Birmingham (Great Britain); Dublin (Ireland) and Brussels-Charleroi (Belgium).
Participants arriving at one of the Warsaw airports (we recommend Warsaw-Chopin airport-WAW) may continue to Łódź by train or long-distance coach. We recommend checking current connections before travelling.
By train
The most convenient railway station for conference participants is Łódź Fabryczna, located in the city centre. The station offers regional and long-distance connections, including services from Warsaw, Kraków, Poznań, Wrocław and other major Polish cities.
The Faculty of Economics and Sociology is situated less than one kilometre from the station. Walking from the station to the conference venue takes approximately 10–15 minutes. After leaving the station, follow Polskiej Organizacji Wojskowej Street towards its junction with Rewolucji 1905 r. Street. (Uniwersytet Łódzki)

By long-distance coach
The Łódź Fabryczna bus terminal forms part of the same transport complex as the railway station. It is served by domestic and international coach operators. The Faculty can be reached from the terminal on foot in approximately 10–15 minutes.

From Łódź Fabryczna station to the Faculty
Due to the short distance, walking from Łódź Fabryczna station to 3/5 P.O.W. Street is usually the simplest option.
The Faculty of Economics and Sociology can also be reached by buses 59, 96 and Z13 and tram 5. As temporary diversions and timetable changes are relatively common, participants are advised to check the current route shortly before travelling. (Uniwersytet Łódzki)

Public transport tickets can be purchased from ticket machines in many buses and trams, stationary ticket machines and mobile applications.
Getting around Łódź
We recommend using public transport or licensed taxi services. Popular app-based ride services also operate in Łódź.

Parking immediately next to the Faculty may be limited. Paid municipal parking spaces are available on Składowa Street and nearby streets. Participants staying in the city centre are therefore encouraged to use public transport. (Uniwersytet Łódzki)

Free cancellation is possible until 6:00 PM on the day of arrival (if you receive a phone confirmation informing you of a late arrival, no prepayment is required; the reservation will be held for you).

- Piotrkowska Street
The best-known street in Łódź and one of the principal axes of the city centre. It is lined with historic tenement houses, palaces, restaurants, cafés, artistic courtyards and monuments forming the Gallery of Great People of Łódź. - Manufaktura and the Izrael Poznański Palace
An extensive former textile factory complex transformed into a cultural, leisure, dining and shopping centre. Next to it is the Museum of Contemporary Art. The neighbouring Izrael Poznański Palace now houses the Museum of the City of Łódź. (Łódź Travel)
- EC1 Łódź – City of Culture
A revitalised former power station situated next to Łódź Fabryczna railway station. It houses the Science and Technology Centre, a planetarium, the National Centre for Film Culture and the Centre for Comics and Interactive Narration. (Łódź Travel)
- Księży Młyn
The largest historic factory and residential complex in Łódź. Its factories, workers’ housing, residences, cobbled streets and green spaces provide an insight into the city’s industrial history. - Murals and Włókiennicza Street
Łódź is renowned for its large-scale murals and contemporary artistic installations displayed on the walls of buildings throughout the city. The renovated Włókiennicza Street and nearby Stanisław Moniuszko Park are also worth exploring. Włókiennicza Street is located 100 meters from the conference venue and the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the University of Lodz.
- Orientarium ZOO Łódź
A modern zoological complex dedicated primarily to the fauna and flora of Southeast Asia. One of its main attractions is an underwater tunnel offering views of sharks, rays and other marine animals. (Łódź Travel)
